Farmland

Most of the land is used for grazing. This looks like it may be a dairy farm.

Barren Land

The land is mostly volcanic soil and thermal gyesers. Trees used to be common but were cut for buildings and heat. They soon were depleted. Because of erosion and poor soil the trees had difficulty replenishing themselves.
